The Story Behind Our Name: Why “Pride” Guides Our Vision

When I first launched Pride AI and Business Solutions, many asked: “Why the name Pride? Is it the right fit for the tech landscape in Ethiopia?”

It is a fair question. For us, Pride isn’t about ego - it is about Legacy, Purpose, and Integrity. It is the standard we embed into every line of code and every autonomous system we deploy.

A Legacy of Integrity: The Pride Clinic

The name Pride is, first and foremost, a tribute to my late brother, Dr. Solomon Belayneh. He founded and operated Pride Clinic, a medical practice where patients found more than treatment - they found compassion, trust, and dignity. He embodied a quiet pride in serving others without compromise.

This venture is the evolution of that spirit. We have transitioned his commitment to human care into a commitment to Ethical AI. Just as the Pride Clinic was built on trust, Pride AI is built on the foundation of Responsible AI and Governance. Honoring my brother’s legacy is our daily reminder that technology must always serve people with integrity.
