My life has been guided by a deep commitment to continuous learning, meaningful contribution, compassion, and the pursuit of purposeful growth.



I was raised in Addis Ababa by devoted teacher-parents who instilled in me a strong respect for education and lifelong curiosity. This foundation shaped a career defined by ambition, resilience, and a desire to make a lasting impact.

From Finance to Global Insight

My professional journey began in Ethiopia’s banking sector, with nearly a decade of experience at Dashen Bank and United Bank. These years gave me an in-depth understanding of the country’s financial ecosystem, business landscape, and investment climate.

In 2008, driven by the pursuit of greater opportunity for myself, my family, and my community, I moved to the United States. Over the next eight years, I built a strong professional foundation, culminating in a key role at a Fortune 500 company. There, I expanded my skills in product management, IT development, and IT operations - experiences that deepened my global outlook and shaped my ability to lead in complex, tech-enabled environments.

An African Dream Reimagined

In 2015, personal challenges and professional burnout became a turning point. I began to reevaluate my goals and reimagine what success meant. That reflection gave birth to my “Ethiopian Dream” - a desire to return home and contribute meaningfully to the continent’s transformation.

Though my first entrepreneurial venture in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) didn’t meet expectations, it sparked a deeper vision of change. I re-entered the corporate world, taking on leadership roles in banking and private equity, sharpening my investment skills and working closely with local founders.

For the past 2.5 years, I’ve had the honor of serving in both advisory and executive roles at Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) - the nation’s first Sovereign Wealth Fund. At EIH, I led strategic transformation efforts and helped instill commercial discipline in public enterprises. This experience gave me unmatched exposure to macroeconomic reforms, market liberalization, and the rise of Ethiopia’s modern financial sector.

A Vision for AI-Enabled Business Transformation

Throughout my career, I’ve remained passionate about bridging business and technology to drive results, improve productivity, and empower people. Today, that passion is supercharged by the transformative potential of AI, including Generative AI and Agentic AI.

With this renewed energy, I am launching a new venture focused on AI consulting, financial advisory, and digital transformation. My mission is to provide practical, strategic, and human-centered solutions that help businesses in Ethiopia - and beyond - navigate change, harness innovation, and prepare for future growth.

I believe this is the time to reimagine how African enterprises operate, make decisions, and grow - grounded in data, empowered by technology, and inspired by purpose.

The Story Behind Our Name: Why “Pride” Guides Our Vision

  When I first shared the idea for   Pride AI and Business Solutions , the encouragement was overwhelming. Yet a few asked a thoughtful question: “Why the name Pride? Is it the right fit, especially for Ethiopia?” It’s a fair question.  Pride  can mean many things - self-confidence, achievement, heritage -  but for me, it’s not about ego. It’s about  legacy, purpose, and building something worth passing on. A Tribute to Legacy The name  Pride  is, first and foremost, a tribute to my late brother,  Dr. Solomon Belayneh .
